Privacy Policy
The short version
- We collect what we need to deliver your order: your name, phone number, email, delivery addresses and order details.
- The store and rider handling your order see your name, phone number and delivery address so they can prepare and deliver it.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- You can delete your account at any time from the app.
1. Who we are
LARGO is a food and grocery delivery service operating in Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, and nearby areas, run by LARGO PHILIPPINES (business registration in progress) ("LARGO", "we", "us"). This policy covers the LARGO customer app, the LARGO Store app for partner stores, the LARGO Rider app for delivery riders, and largo.ph.
We handle personal information in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.
2. What we collect
Everyone
- Account details: your first and last name, email address, mobile number, password (stored only in scrambled form), and your birthday if you choose to add it. If you sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook, we receive your name and email from that service.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications, a notification token for your phone so we can send order updates.
Customers
- Delivery addresses: house number, street, sitio or purok, landmark, barangay, city or municipality, province, ZIP code, notes for the rider, and the map pin you save.
- Orders: what you ordered, from which store, prices, fees, tips, payment method, delivery or pick-up choice, notes you add, and order status times.
- Ratings and comments you give stores and riders, and stores you mark as favourites.
- Recent searches are kept only on your phone.
Partner stores
- Store name, address and location, contact number, opening hours, menu, prices, photos, and the names and contact details of store owners and staff who use the app.
Riders
- Vehicle type, plate number, the city you work in, your location while you are online or on a delivery, and your delivery and earnings history.
3. How we use it
- To create and run your account and keep you signed in.
- To show stores that deliver to your address, calculate delivery fees, and process and deliver orders.
- To let stores and riders contact you about an order in progress.
- To show order status updates and send notifications you have allowed.
- To pay stores and riders correctly and keep accounting records.
- To show ratings, handle complaints and refunds, and keep LARGO safe from fraud and misuse.
- To fix problems and improve the service.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules or lawful requests from authorities.
We process your information because it is needed to provide the service you asked for, to comply with the law, for our legitimate interest in running a safe and reliable service, and, where the law requires it, with your consent.
4. Who sees your information
| Who | What they see | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The store you order from | Your name, phone number, order items and notes, and whether it is delivery or pick-up | To prepare your order and contact you if needed |
| The rider who takes your order | Your name, phone number, delivery address, map pin, notes and amount to collect | To deliver your order |
| Riders looking for jobs | The store, your delivery address and the trip distance, but not your name or phone number until one of them accepts | So riders can choose deliveries |
| Customers | A store's public details; the name and phone number of the rider delivering your order | To follow and receive your order |
| Service providers | Only what they need to run their part of the service | Cloud hosting and database (Supabase), app stores, sign-in services, maps and, when available, online payments |
| OpenStreetMap (address suggestions) | The map pin's coordinates, without your name or account | To suggest your street, barangay, city and ZIP code when you pin an address |
| Authorities | Only what the law requires | When required by a court order or law |
Our service providers may store information on servers outside the Philippines, for example in Singapore. We only use providers that protect personal information to standards comparable to Philippine law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
5. Location
- Customers: the app uses your phone's location only when you ask it to pin a delivery address. We save the pin, not your movements. To suggest the address parts, the pin's coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's address service.
- Riders: the Rider app uses your location while you are online or have an active delivery, to offer nearby jobs and show delivery progress. Going offline stops this.
- Stores: the Store app uses your location once, to pin your store.
You can turn off location access in your phone's settings at any time; some features will then not work.
6. Payments
For cash orders, the rider or store collects payment in person. When online payments (such as GCash or cards) become available, they will be handled by a licensed payment provider. LARGO will not see or store your full card number or e-wallet password.
7. How long we keep it
- Account and address details: while your account is open. They are removed when you delete your account.
- Order and payment records: for as long as Philippine tax and accounting rules require, generally up to 10 years. If you delete your account, these records are kept without your name, phone number or address.
- Rider location: only the latest position is kept while you work, not a history of your movements.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections, access rules that let each person see only what their role needs, and scrambled password storage. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.
9. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to:
- be informed about how your information is used;
- access your information and get a copy of it;
- correct wrong or outdated information (you can edit your name, phone and addresses in the app);
- object to processing, or withdraw consent where we rely on it;
- have your information deleted or blocked;
- receive your information in a common electronic format;
- file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
To use these rights, email us at the address below. We will reply within 15 working days.
10. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app under Account, then Delete my account. See Delete your LARGO account for the steps and what is removed.
11. Children
LARGO is for people 18 years old and above. Younger users may use the app only with a parent or guardian's permission and supervision. We do not knowingly collect information from children without that permission.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as LARGO grows. We will change the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect.
